Support Pongo through Remarkable Presence

Remarkable Presence is an immersive art installation and augmented reality experience by artist Jen Urso featuring small, paper suitcases, which each represent the life of a person lost to COVID-19.
Jen conceived of the project while mourning the loss of her sister, Tina McDaniel, who tragically passed away from cancer during the pandemic. Jen’s goal is for this art project to “be an opportunity for us to share in the grief we’ve experienced over the past year and a half” and “give people the chance to think or talk about the person they miss.” These suitcases will be distributed throughout the community in events of collective grieving. Learn more about Jen’s project and request a suitcase by visiting her website.
Jen asks that you couple any suitcase request with a donation to Pongo in honor of her sister. Tina attended a Pongo training in 2018, and used our trauma-informed methodology in her volunteering at New Horizons, teaching creative writing to unhoused youth in Seattle.
