Reflecting on Gratitude

Reflecting on Gratitude

Think of the famous holiday song by Andy Williams entitled, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year.” People shop for their loved ones, go out and pick Christmas trees together, gather around the dinner table, and laugh together. Sounds like “the most wonderful time of the year,” right?

What about the people who’ve lost loved ones, the people who can’t afford to shop, the people who’ve been separated from their families? Is it “The most wonderful time of the year?”

The poem above comes from youth writers at the Clark Children & Family Justice Center, reflecting on what they are grateful for.  Follow the lead of our youth writers, and take a moment this holiday season to reflect on all of the things that you’re grateful for!
